Due to Federal, State, and Local School District Budget Cuts, Mifflin County School District had to find a way to cut 8 million dollars from the 2011-2012 budget. The solution was to combine 2 high schools in to one, three middle schools into one and close five elementary schools. Over 80 teachers were furloughed and many other support staff lost jobs as well. I taught at Indian Valley High School and next year will be moving to Mifflin County Middle School. I decided to record student and teacher thoughts on the last days of IVHS...
